Voxer is a lightweight magazine theme built around one idea: a modern, editorial homepage should not cost you speed. It loads little, shifts nothing while it loads, and lets you build the front page from simple widgets, with no page builder required.
What makes Voxer stand out
Built for speed and Core Web Vitals
Fonts are served locally with no Google Fonts requests, and the one small script is deferred, with no jQuery needed. The theme stylesheet is inlined, the main image is preloaded, uploads are converted to WebP, and banner and ad spaces reserve their height so the layout does not jump.
A homepage you build with widgets
Thirteen ready-made modules, such as Main Headline, Headlines Board, Editor’s Picks, Post Feed with sidebar, Category and Tag Strip, News Ticker and Popular Posts, can be stacked in any order. Pin posts by ID or link, auto-fill by category or tag, or pick the latest or random posts.
Mega menu and mobile drawer
Category menu items open a panel with the latest posts of that category. On mobile, a clean side drawer shows your menu, the newest posts and your social links.
Dark mode included
Visitors can switch between light and dark with one button. You choose the default: Light, Dark or follow the visitor’s system.
Newsletter and contact form, built in
Collect subscribers right inside WordPress, or send the form straight to Mailchimp or another service. The contact page template works with page caching, and both forms include spam protection.
Ready for ads
A dedicated banner and ad module, plus header banner areas, lets you show an image or AdSense code on desktop only, mobile only, or both.
Easy to make your own
Set your accent color, header colors, menu size, Subscribe button, footer, post page details and social links in the Customizer. A Recent Posts page is available with a single checkbox.
Voxer is released under the GNU GPL v2 or later. Download it, use it on as many sites as you like, and if it helps your project, a small donation keeps the updates coming.
